TO BE TOUGH OR NOT BE TOUGH

What do you get when you add songs about dudes, Ray-bans and sex with extreme dancing that almost seems like a exercise regime. If you do not know the answer, it is because you were not at the Le Corps Mince de Francoise concert in Rytmisk Sal.

To start things of, let us just say that there was not a massive turnout at the beginning of the concert. Apparently, the I Got You On Tape concert in Store Sal pulled quite the crowd, which meant that only about 50 people has showed up to hear Le Corps Mince de Francoise.

However, the three girls did not really seems faced by this as they entered the stage. With seemingly tough attitudes and hot dance moves the all girl band began their concert with what they are known for – hard pumping electronica beats mixed with pop, fun lyrics and a lead singer who can sing really, really loud.

They may have appeared as having tough attitudes, but this was all shattered when lead singer Emma Kemppainens seemed genuinely happy to play at SPOT – this happened around the same time when yours truly saw that she was not wearing any shoes. Way to shatter the tough chick image (it should be noted that all this happened during and after they played their current UK single “Bitch of The Bitches”.)

By the time the trio began to play songs from their upcoming album “Love & Nature”, the audience size had almost tripled and people were really getting into it.

There was some serious dancing – both by the three girls on stage and by some of the audience members. Towards the end we even got to hear their next single “Something Golden”.

All in all, Le Corps Mince de Francoise seemed to be the kind of band who really connect with the audience just by being themselves and doing what they think is fun, while actually managing to find the right blend between toughness and sweetness to get everyone to like them.
