Odense Symphony Orchestra, rock act Ave, and Herning Boys Choir are joining forces to create an opening act to kick off this year's SPOT Festival May 21st in Aarhus. The unusual collaboration will be part of the opening night and will be performing Ave's rock music, which is just now being arranged and finished for the big event.

-It's an incredible opportunity for us. We get to play with one of Europe's finest symphony orchestras, while getting to promote our music in Denmark as well as internationally. The SPOT Festival is the place to be if you want go international with your music, because the huge international attention that the festival gets, says Rasmus Brylle drummer in Ave.

Odense Symphony Orchestra.
Managing director of SPOT Festival, Gunnar Madsen, believes that transverse projects will be easier to dispose in the future.

- Acts such as Under Byen, Efterklang, and Slaraffenland have already proved that there is a demand for transvers music. We always have to value the potential in both commercial and the more art-based music. Commercial approachability should not always come first, Gunnar Madsen says.

He expects that the collaboration between Odense Symphony Orchestra, Ave, and Herning Boys Choir will create know-how and knowledge that will be high in demand in the years to come.

Herning Boys Choir - yes, the stage will certainly be packed.
Besides performing at the SPOT Festival, Ave, Odense Symphony Orchestra, and Herning Boys Choir will also perform to concerts in Odense.
