Just like the fall's other successful SPOT On Denmark thrusts – the latest, a sold out show in Brussels on November 14 – the bands have been hand-picked after this years SPOT Festival. In the case of the Sonic Visions Festival, the bands playing have been chosen partly by Rockhal as well as magazine and radio journalists. The acts are presented in collaboration with MXD and ROSA – The Danish Rock Council.

Even though this is a first time event, the festival could possibly have big potential for the European music scene because of its central position, which is already attracting industry and media from both France, Germany, Belgium and, of course, Luxembourg.

The festival is structured the same way as other trade events with primary focus on showcase concerts, though a lecture and seminar program has also been added with focus on “The Digital (R)evolution”.

Media bigwigs RTL Radio and newspaper D'Wort have already plugged the festival and SPOT On Denmark, as has the newspaper Correio and radio stations Eldoradio and Radio 100.7 - on the day of the event TV channel Station Riv 54 will be taping a session with Murder.

In keeping with tradition, MXD will host a reception for international and Danish industry people prior to the first Danish gig Saturday.
