This year's SPOT line-up can now be presented in its complete form, with 111 acts. During the three days of music a, hopefully, excited and pumped audience of concert goers and industry types will get to experience music belonging to such different genres as electronica, indie rock, singer-songwriter, jazz, world, metal, pop, rock, rap and everything in between – you name it, SPOT has it.

On top of the genre diversity, the line-up also includes bands from all the Nordic countries (DK/SE/NO/IS/FI/GL/FO) as well as acts from such different countries as Japan and Luxembourg among others.
As usual, SPOT will present the finest from the thriving Danish music scene, some well known:Tim Christensen, Carpark North, Choir Of Young Believers and Trolle//Siebenhaar – while others are still on the rise: The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Lucy Love, Mike Sheridan and Marybell Katastrophy to name but a few.

The hyped Norwegians from I Was A King have just released their self-titled second album to rave reviews.
Nordic and international acts
In addition to the Danish acts, many Nordic and international names have been added to the line-up. The hotly tipped Norwegians from I Was A King will play their indie noise rock, while the Finnish all girl trio Le Corps Mince de Francoise will make you dance with their Chicks on Speed influenced electro pop. SPOT is also proud to present a small, but although very exciting, Icelandic invasion in the form of songstress Emiliana Torrini and former Sigur Rós tour mate Ólafur Arnalds. Finally, Yann Tiersen – the marvellous Frenchman behind the scores for such films as “Amelie” and “Good Bye Lenin!”, will perform on the Opening Night, Thursday May 21st, along with several other international acts (Yann Tiersen will actually be performing twice at the festival, since he is slated to play alongside Orka (FO) in the course of the festival).

Ave - arbejder med strygere i forvejen. Nu kommer chancen med helt symfonmiorkester og kor.
Rock band Ave will perform a completely new symphony with Odense Symphony Orchestra and Herning Boys Choir.
Opening Night at The Concert Hall
Speaking of SPOT Opening Night, the festival is proud to present a genre-mixing live experience at The Concert Hall in the form of rock band Ave performing a complete symphony with Odense Symphony Orchestra and Herning Boys Choir, while electronica songstress Oh Land will perform a set including interpretations of Ravel along with a performance of her own songs with classical musicians. Additionally, When Saints Go Machine, with their blend of pop and electro, will also be performing with classical musicians where they will début songs from their upcoming album.

Special events and focus at SPOT 2009
Pay attention fans of heavy metal, singer-songwriter and electronica, because the line-up is packed with names belonging, in some way or the other, to these particular genres. Seven decidedly heavier names have been added to the line-up, ensuring the metal genre even more focus at this year's festival than ever before. Singer-songwriter lovers can look forward to a whole stage devoted to the genre as well as the Nordic Cowriter event, where eight singer-songwriters from five different Nordic countries will write brand new songs together in the days leading up to SPOT.
Furthermore, Danish electronica will be well represented with several of the hottest names on the scene playing at the festival. The genre has flourished over the last couple of years, so you are in for a treat.

Additionally, the music line-up will be supplemented by 10 different seminars, where industry people and the likes will discuss everything from selling music in a digital world to how to make it in the UK and the Asian music market.

See the complete line-up here – individual presentations of the performing acts plus seminars will be published in the days to come.
