The SPOT Festival is:
Around 110 upcoming Danish and Nordic bands and artists with international ambitions will play concerts in central Aarhus.
Conferences and seminars on current issues in the music business.
Around 800 Danish and international representatives from the music business: record companies, publishers, bookers, concert organizers, media, etc.

The SPOT Festival will take place:
Thursday May 21st to Saturday May 23rd in central Aarhus.
Begins: Thursday evening. Ends: Saturday night.
Festival area with stages in and around The Concert Hall, Aarhus and Ridehuset – with additional stages in central Aarhus.
Main entrance/check-in: The Concert, Aarhus where tickets will be exhanged for wristbands that give access to all the

The SPOT Festival presents:

Rock, pop, metal, folk, world music, jazz, hiphop, singer/sonwriter, r&b, electronica, etc.
Established bands and artists with international ambitions and new bands that have been chosen among 838 applicants.

Access to the festival:

Exchange of tickets to access wristbands takes place in the Foyer of the Concert Hall.

Band and music business check-in:
The Concert Hall Foyer.

Timetable:

The timetable for the 13 stages during the three-day SPOT Festival will be available at the entrances to the Festival area. It will also be available for download at 2009.spotfestival.dk. The timetable may be subject to change.

Limited capacity:
We would like to point out that the festival stages have limited capacities. It is therefore
advisable to show up in good time before the shows start.

The Concert Hall:

Smoking is not allowed at the five stages of the Concert Hall. Please note that you are not allowed to bring drinks to these stages either.

Different venues, different rules:

Please keep in mind that the festival is a guest at the various venues, and that therefore there may be specific rules at the individual venues.

Seminars:
The seminars take place at Archauz (Café Lobby) and at Brobjergskolen (Teacher's Lounge).

Security:
If problems should arise, please contact the guard at the nearest exit right away.

The Red Cross:
If injuries occur or if you fall ill, consult the Red Cross tent at Officerspladsen.

Cloakrooms:

There are no cloakrooms in the festival area, so please don’t bring more stuff than you can manage to carry around

Lost Property:
Lost Property can be reclaimed at ROSA’s office, Saltholmsgade 22, 8000 Århus C, (phone: +45 86 12 84 44) in the days after the festival.

Parking:

The nearest parking facilities are “Margrethepladsen” in front of Scandinavian Center.

Transportation:

CAR: Motorway E45 takes you directly to Aarhus both from the north and from the south
BUS / TRAIN: There are bus and/or train lines to most Danish cities and towns. Both the Railway Station and the Bus Station are within five minutes walk of the festival area. See midtrafik.dk, dsb.dk.
PLANE: The nearest airport is Aarhus Airport (Tirstrup) which is situated 50 kilometres from Aarhus. From the airport there are connections to Copenhagen, London/Stansted (Ryanair). From Billund Airport there are flights to Copenhagen and most major European cities. Both airports have direct shuttles to Aarhus.
