Formerly known as the songwriter of the laidback dance pop group Luke, Nikolaj Grandjean has now embarked on a solo career. His music is personal and relaxed singer/songwriter with instruments like acoustic guitar, piano and strings. The critics have praised it for its "pleasantly relaxed lounge atmosphere". He also plays gigs with the "street opera singer" Mikkel Lomborg among others.
