Mames Babegenush is a six-strong band playing vigorous klezmer with an unpolished rock stamp to it. The music is both manic and melancholy - from unruly sîrbas to mournful waltzes. As the originators of "Klezmer Attacks", spontaneous gigs at various venues, Mames Babegenush have brought their powerful and gleeful music to audiences who subsequently find it hard to refrain from dancing.
